Dr. LaToya K. Williams is a multifaceted leader endeavoring to educate and empower others in their God-given ability to achieve greater dimensions of life through emotional, mental, and spiritual transformation. Inspiring and motivating all who cross her path, Dr. LaToya invigorates the marketplace as a licensed therapist, speaker, coach, podcaster, and preacher. Much of her work consists of providing individual therapy and couples counseling, as well as empowerment to leaders, businesses, and organizations through workshops, trainings, and life coaching. Additionally, she travels frequently sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Dr. LaToya also hosts a podcast series entitled “Becoming Well”, a safe place and space for people to be educated, empowered, and inspired to discover their own journey of wellness. In addition to being a multifaceted leader, Dr. LaToya and Bishop J. C. Williams are the proud parents of Jeronn C. Williams, II (JCordell), a student at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.
A native of Prentiss, MS, Dr. LaToya was born, the second of two children, to the late John and Marjorie Culver who were both educators. Continuing her familial legacy of academic excellence, Dr. LaToya received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Spelman College and a Master of Social Work Degree from Clark Atlanta University. Dr. LaToya advanced their legacy by receiving her Doctor of Education Degree from Argosy University, in Pastoral Community Counseling where she completed research and her dissertation entitled “A Study of the Self-Care of Pastors and their Spouses: Maintaining Holistic Health in the Individual and Marriage.” Dr. LaToya is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in GA and MS.
Because of her commitment to God and heart for His people, Dr. LaToya aspires to encourage and affect the world one person at a time! In every arena, Dr. LaToya engages knowledge, proficiencies, and certainly her spiritual insight to empower those who are faced with decisions and life challenges to illuminate a better way. Whether through preaching, teaching, counseling, coaching, or just helping out, Dr. LaToya is known to all as a woman of faith and virtue that exemplifies wisdom, understanding, and strength on her journey that God continues to unfold.
